“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5
Americans have become very dependent on email, texting, and the internet. These tools each require electricity. Have you ever considered how you would make it through the day without electricity? What about a week or a month?
Imagine not being able to access your checking or savings account. Imagine no lights or television at night when you get home from work. Imagine that you could not get gasoline from the station. You would not be able to cook on your stove or have a hot shower. Try one hot August Sunday at church without electricity.
Our relationship with Jesus is very similar. He is our vine, our source. Without Him we can do nothing. Life without our Savior would be miserable. We would be thrown into confusion trying to figure out how to live without Him.
Of course we could live without electricity, but not without Jesus!
Stay “plugged in”.
